Stop copying successful people’s routines

Why you could be stopping yourself from succeeding trying to be david goggins…

Things most ‘morning routine influencers’ are REALLY trying to tell you…

Waking up at 4:57 am.

Going on runs every morning for 115 days in a row,

And even taking ice baths, too.

There’s one thing misleading you…

I was the same, going on runs every morning and taking cold showers that sucked every day, for nearly 4 months…  

Okay, I think we just lost everyone that still does those routines, if only they could just hear what I was going to say they could skip all the BS and get straight to what matters, 

but I’m glad it’s just you and me now .

But doing this led me to realize 2 things. 

1- You are more capable than you think. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can help you develop an unbreakable respect for yourself. 

But don’t worry I’m not going to start telling you to do the same, because here’s why…

2- It took me 115 days (nearly 4 months)  of doing this to realize what those influencers are trying to tell you. 

You need to do what’s best to hit YOUR goals. 

This “morning routine” took 1.5 hours out of my day, draining my energy and leaving me tired for the rest of the day.

It wasn’t helping me get closer to my goals. 

They promise you’ll have more time in the day to do things, but in reality, you're spending it doing the routine and once midday comes around you can’t keep your eyes open… 

So that’s why,

Creating insane morning routines for all those influencers is excellent because it helps them achieve their goals, not yours.

Copying them will only hold you back unless you have the same goals. 

So my ask for you now…

Write down what a perfect morning could look like for you. (that aligns with your goal)

It could be going to the gym,

Spending the first 2 hours learning a new skill, 

Or it could be as simple as wasting no time and getting straight to work. 

It’s that simple. 

But don’t get me wrong…

You will go into days you don’t want to, feel like you can’t, or procrastinate. (you’re human, everyone has those days)

But that’s where the opportunity is to gain that unbreakable respect for yourself, which is something no one else can do for you. 

So next time you see another morning routine video, just remember they’re still getting closer to their goals in their own way… 

Now you have to do the same. 

Don’t get distracted by all these shiny and flashy morning routines…

It’s not the reason you will win.

Focus on your routine that gets you closer to YOUR goals. 

The best part is…

If you stick to it, not only will you progress so much faster, but through the struggle, you’ll have something to talk about when once done it!

So don’t be distracted and go make some progress, 

Make it your unfair advantage above the rest,

Now my alarm still goes off at 4:57 am, 

but now it’s because I’m excited to work on my goals, not because david goggins says so… 

But if your goal relies on you going for runs every morning, do it!

That’s not the case for most people, but it’s okay to push yourself in other directions. 

You don’t always have to follow everyone else… 

“to be exceptional you have to be an exception.” 

Make yourself that exception!
