The Garden Growth Secret
Why successful people ignore their goals...
Every success story has this one thing in common…
This thing allows them to have endless motivation, never burn out, and makes them leap out of bed every morning excited to get to it.
This mentality shift works in any area you want to improve, and this is it…
Process over Prize.
You have to focus on the process of taking action every day to move closer to your goals.
I will explain why fixating on the process is a key Success Skill and show you ways to supercharge your journey to success by simply doing what you love…
Why Process over Prize??
Many of the best athletes and entrepreneurs master this process-over-prize mentality, which is why so many people have achieved so many great things.
But if you just focus on the prize, it would be like watching paint dry or watching your garden grow.
You don’t focus on those outcomes because it takes ages and focusing on it won’t make the garden grow or paint dry any faster.
So what do they do?
They focus on watering the plants and ensuring good soil or painting the rest of the walls, both of which move them closer to their goals.
You need to think about your route to success in the exact same way.
Because the amazing thing is, the prize will take care of itself…
But if you go into something excited about the prize, you’re lucky to last a few weeks. If you go into the same thing and are excited to learn the process, that’s when the real achievements flow in.
But it gets even better…
People find their passions by engaging in self-reflection, using their strengths and interests, actively exploring different activities and fields outside their comfort zone and many other ways.
But finding your passions through your strengths and interests is perfect proof that when people get good at something, they tend to love it.
If you start focusing only on the process (which I hope is something you are interested in), it’s the perfect recipe for developing an unbreakable passion for your process.
This means…
Even if your process isn’t something you love right now, as soon as you start to see results and become so good at it (strength), it will develop into a passion for success.
Ultimately, it will fuel your unstoppable success and achievements, so don’t worry about the prize; do it with the only intention of improving and loving the process.
And your success will be guaranteed.
Until next time!
