You’re too nice...

You’re too nice 

When trying to succeed in any area of your life,

You’ll soon realize 

It’s all a competition.

Your goal doesn’t care if you’re nice or not. 

When you win someone else loses 

That’s just how it works. 

So it sounds backwards, 

but you can’t care for everyone else and their results

Because it’s hard enough making it yourself. 

When you're constantly worrying about how your actions will affect other people 

It’s just going to delay you from achieving. 

But it’s not to say you shouldn't be ethical 

No 

There’s a difference between being selfishly focused and just being a bad person…

Being Selfishly Focused is 

Saying No to going out with friends 

No to birthdays 

No to dinners 

Because you’ve got work to do 

There’s nothing for you to be celebrating

YET 

Because soon you’ll be able to celebrate achieving greatness.

But until then 

Yes 

You’ve got to be selfish 

With school and life in general

They have made this seem bad. 

You’re always told to care for others and be nice which is correct, 

But it has its time and place.

When it comes to competition and chasing your goals you can’t do any of that.

You’ve got to focus on yourself and be ruthless. 

Be crazy focused on achieving, 

Then achieving your goal will be under your control. 

Because 

Sooner or later you’ll figure out no one cares about YOUR results, 

Only they want to win.

So I’m telling you this now.

So you can stop caring about others and start putting all your focus and effort on your own results. 

Remember it’s ok to do things for yourself.

Nothing in this world is free, you get it through 

Hard Work,

Determination, 

Consistency, 

And 

Being Selfishly Focused.
